Mid-century modern design mentions to a specific design style predominant in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. The goal of mid-century modern style was to take modernism to post-war suburbs, making structures with windows and open floor plans, in order to bring the outdoors inside. An original builder of mid-century modern homes was Joseph Eichler. Popular furniture designers include Eames, Noguchi, Saarinen and Nelson.
